Ingredients/Components
- vanilla ice cream - 1/2 gal
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- margarine - 6 6
- miniature marshmallows - 1 c
- 6 oz - 1 c
- pie shell - 1 item
- to 50 Nabisco vanilla wafers - 45 item
How to make ice cream pie:
Finely crush vanilla wafers. Mix with margarine. Press into pie pan and bake at 350° for about 5 to 7 minutes. Let cool. Combine evaporated milk, marshmallows and chocolate chips in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until chocolate chips are completely melted and mixture is thick. Cool. Place 1/2 of ice cream in shell. Cover with 1/2 of chocolate mixture. Add remaining 1/2 of ice cream and top with remaining chocolate mixture. Decorate with pecans, if desired.Recipe categories: Pie, Pies and tarts, Frozen desserts.
