Ingredients/Components

  • butter, softened - 1/2 c
  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • flour
  • oil - 1 c
  • confectioners sugar - 16 oz
  • baking powder - 3/4 tsp
  • can crushed pineapple - 8 oz
  • cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
  • walnuts
  • chopped bananas - 1 c

How to make hummingbird cake:

Add flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon in a large bowl. Mix well. Add eggs and oil. Stir until moist. Add vanilla, bananas, walnuts and pineapple.

Pour into two greased and floured pans. Bake at 350° for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool. Combine remaining ingredients together for the frosting.
