Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1/2 c
- butter - 1 item
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- chopped tart apples, peeled and cored
How to make huguenot torte:
In a bowl, beat eggs until frothy and lemon-colored. Add sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until smooth. Stir in apples, pecans and vanilla. Mix well. Put mixture in a buttered 12 x 8-inch baking pan. Bake at 325° for about 45 minutes or until crusty and brown on top. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
