Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/8 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped dates
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- light brown sugar - 2 c
How to make date-filled cookies:
Date Filling:2 c. chopped dates1/2 c. sugar1/2 c. water1/2 c. chopped pecans Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add with 1/2 cup milk, flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon.Drop by spoonfuls on a greased cookie sheet. Make a depression with a spoon and fill with 1/2 teaspoon date filling. Top with a dot of dough. Bake at 350° or 375°.
Date Filling: Cook dates, sugar and water until thick. Add pecans.
