Hot turkey salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- butter, melted - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- hard-cooked eggs, chopped - 3 item
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- cubed, cooked turkey - 2 c
- cooked rice - 1 c
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
- blanched, slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- cornflakes or cracker crumbs - 1 c
How to make hot turkey salad:
Combine undiluted soup, mayonnaise, lemon juice and salt. Add turkey, rice, eggs, celery, water chestnuts and onions. Mix well. Pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole. Combine crumbs and butter. Mix in almonds. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Salads, Main dish, One Dish meal.
