Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- boiling water - 2/3 c
- shortening - 2/3 c
- plain flour - 5 c
- eggs, well beaten - 2 item
- yeast - 1 pkg
- water water - 2/3 c
How to make hot rolls:
Dissolve yeast in 2/3 cup warm water and sprinkle 1 teaspoon sugar over yeast when you put in cup.Combine shortening, 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon salt in mixing bowl and pour 2/3 cup boiling water over it. Let this cool, then add yeast water and eggs. Stir in flour and mix well. Put dough in covered dish in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. Make out rolls and let rise for at least 2 hours before baking. Cook at 350°.
