Hot milk cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- flour
- baking powder
- margarine - 10 Tbsp
How to make hot milk cake:
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs at high speed until thick, about 5 minutes. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is light and fluffy. Combine flour and baking powder, add to batter with vanilla and beat at low speed until smooth.In a saucepan, heat milk and butter, just until the butter melts, stirring occasionally. Add to batter, beating until combined. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.

Grandma Wiederhold would make this often and put a brown sugar, coconut, pecan and cream topping on it. She would pop it back in the oven until the topping bubbled and take it out, let cool and enjoy. She called it a Lazy Daisy Cake.
