Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • garlic powder - 1 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • ground red pepper - 1 tsp
  • chili powder - 2 tsp
  • mustard - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 3 lb
  • barbecue sauce - 1 c
  • celery salt - 1 tsp
  • large can tomato juice - 1 item
  • to 6 small onions - 3 item

How to make hot dog chili:

Chop onions in food processor until they are mushy. Cook ground beef and onions in skillet until ground beef is browned. In a large pot, combine all other ingredients. Drain fat off of ground beef and onions. Chop ground beef and onions in food processor until the meat is very fine. Then add it to the other ingredients. Cook about 1 hour on low heat. Can be divided into small freezer bags and frozen for future use.
