Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- sliced almonds - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- cooked chicken - 3 c
- grated cheese - 1/2 c
- mayonnaise
- salt to taste - 1 item
- green onions - 2 Tbsp
- potato chips, crushed - 1 c
- celery - 2 c
- pimento thin slices - 1/4 c
How to make hot chicken salad:
Toss chicken, celery, almonds, pimento and mayonnaise. Blend in lemon juice, onions and seasonings. Fill a shallow, greased casserole. Mix grated cheese with chips. Sprinkle over top. Bake at 375° about 30 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned. Yields about 8 to 10 servings.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
