Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 4 item
- chopped celery - 1 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- salt to taste - 1 item
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- cans cream of chicken soup - 2 item
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 item
- slices cubed bread - 8 item
- grated cheese mild Cheddar - 1 c
- bite-sized chicken
How to make hot chicken salad:
Put 1/2 of bread cubes in bottom of pan. Mix chicken, celery, onions, chestnuts, mayonnaise and salt and spread over bread cubes. Then cover with remaining bread cubes. Combine eggs and milk and pour over and refrigerate overnight. Next day, cover with soup and cheese. Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.Recipe categories: Chicken, Main dish, One Dish meal.
