Hot chicken salad
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- margarine
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1 c
- cooked chicken
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- mayonnaise - 3/4 c
- sliced mushrooms - 1 c
- slivered almonds - 1/2 c
- cooked rice - 1 c
- hard-boiled eggs - 3 item
- corn flake crumbs - 1 c
How to make hot chicken salad:
Topping:1/4 lb. margarine1 c. corn flake crumbs1/2 c. slivered almonds Mix together all ingredients except topping. Place in 2-quart casserole and add topping. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.For a cholesterol free meal, use cholesterol free mayonnaise and eliminate boiled eggs.
