Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • salt - 1/4 c
  • vegetable oil - 1 c
  • oregano
  • basil - 1 Tbsp
  • cloves garlic - 2 item
  • cans tomato paste - 4 oz
  • medium onions - 6 item
  • bay leaves - 3 item
  • dried parsley - 1 Tbsp
  • hot peppers - 3 item
  • sweet peppers - 3 item
  • peck tomatoes, peeled - 1 item

How to make homemade spaghetti sauce:

Finely chop first 5 ingredients in food processor. Add remaining ingredients. Cook 1 1/2 hours or until thick. Hot pack (remove bay leaves before canning).

Hint: Squeeze tomatoes when peeling to remove some of seeds and water.
