Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 3/4 c
- raisins optional - 1/2 c
- hot milk - 2 tsp
- chopped apples - 4 c
- Let stand one hour; stir occasionally
How to make harvest cake:
Mix chopped apples and sugar. Let stand one hour; stir occasionally. Add salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda and walnuts. Mix. Add eggs and oil; mix. Stir in flour and mix well. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 60 minutes.Glaze:1/2 c. powdered sugar2 tsp. hot milk1/4 tsp. vanilla Mix together and spread over cooled cake.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Northeastern U.S..
