Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/3 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dash of salt - 1 item
- cloves - 1/8 tsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- beet juice from can - 1/4 c
- canned sliced beets
How to make harvard beets:
Melt butter. Add flour and beet juice. Blend well and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add brown sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and cloves. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Drain beets. Add to hot liquid. Heat on medium heat thoroughly.Recipe categories: American, Side dish, Vegetables.
