Ingredients/Components
- salt - 4 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- diced onion - 1 c
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- small bay leaf - 1 item
- shredded cabbage - 1 c
- sliced carrots - 1 c
- rice - 1/4 c
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- ground chuck - 1 lb
- cubed raw potatoes - 1 c
- leaf basil - 1 item
- cooked tomatoes - 2 c
- water*
How to make hamburger soup:
*Five cans of beef broth can be substituted for water and eliminate salt. Cook beef and onion in large kettle, browning meat slightly. Add potatoes, carrots, celery, cabbage and tomatoes.
