Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp
  • can tomato sauce - 8 oz
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • instant minced onion
  • Cheddar cheese - 1/4 lb
  • instant nonfat dry milk - 1/2 c
  • seasoned mashed potatoes - 2 c
  • soft bread crumbs 2 slices - 1 c

How to make hamburger pie:

Combine beef, bread crumbs, instant milk, onion, salt, pepper, Worcestershire and 1/2 cup tomato sauce. Press onto bottom of 9-inch pie pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup shredded cheese. Pour remaining tomato sauce over cheese. Spread mashed potatoes over top. Dot with remaining cheese. Return to oven until cheese is melted (about 5 minutes).
