Ham mousse
Ingredients/Components
- cold water - 1 c
- beaten eggs - 2 item
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- chicken broth
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 2 Tbsp
- horseradish - 2 tsp
- cooked ham - 3 c
- small onion, chopped with ham - 1/2 item
- envelope sour cream, made according to directions - 1 item
How to make ham mousse:
Soften gelatin in water; set aside. Dissolve mustard in small amount of broth. Combine remaining broth with eggs. Cook in saucepan about 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Add softened gelatin and stir until dissolved. Beat in mayonnaise, onion and horseradish. Chill until partially set. Add sour cream and fold in ham. Season with pepper and garlic powder to taste.
