Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • flour - 1/4 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 2 c
  • garlic salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped celery - 1 c
  • chopped onions - 1 c
  • mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • diced potatoes - 1 c
  • chopped parsley if desired - 1 Tbsp
  • 1 to 2 c - 1 pkg
  • diced ham smoked - 2 c
  • whole milk or more - 2 c

How to make ham chowder:

Cook ham. Add butter and cook celery and onions until tender. Add flour and water. Add the potatoes and seasonings; cook until done. Add the frozen peas and corn and cook only until done. Add milk and heat to serve. Serves 6 to 8.
