Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • milk - 2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1 qt
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • thinly sliced carrots - 2 c
  • thinly sliced celery - 2 c
  • Bisquick baking mix - 2 c
  • cut-up fully cooked ham - 2 c
  • Swiss cheese, cut into cubes - 8 oz

How to make ham chowder:

Heat water, broccoli, ham, carrots, celery, onion and salt to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Gradually stir milk into baking mix in small bowl (mixture will be lumpy). Stir into ham mixture. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat. Stir in cheese. Cover and let stand until cheese is partially melted (about 5 minutes). Stir before serving. Serves 6.
