Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- butter, melted - 3 Tbsp
- Dream Whip, prepared as directed - 1 pkg
- to 2 drops green food color - 1 item
How to make green salad:
For crust: Mix together graham cracker crumbs, butter and 2 tablespoons sugar. Pat into 11 x 6-inch pan. Freeze until hard.For filling: Boil pineapple, 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch until thickened. Remove from heat. Add cream cheese to hot mixture and stir until cream cheese is melted. Add food coloring; mix together. Let cool. Blend prepared Dream Whip into pineapple-cheese mixture. (Do not use Cool Whip.) Pour over crust and refrigerate until firm.
