Green pea casserole
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- flour
- margarine - 1/2 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- medium onion, chopped - 1 item
- can water chestnuts, sliced - 1 oz
- herb dressing - 1/4 pkg
- celery ribs - 2 item
How to make green pea casserole:
Preheat oven to 350°. Cook peas per package directions, unseasoned and drained. Set aside. Saute onion and celery in the 1/2 cup margarine. Add drained chestnuts, soup, flour and peas. Mix together well and cook slightly. Add salt and pepper to taste. Melt the 1/4 cup margarine in skillet and add the herb dressing. Set aside. Pour all (except the dressing) into a medium casserole dish and bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until bubbly and hot.
