Green bean casserole
Ingredients/Components
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- chopped pimento - 1/4 c
- strips bacon, crisply cooked - 10 item
- cans French-style green beans, drained - 2 item
- 12 slices American cheese - 8 oz
- bread crumbs cornbread is good - 2 c
How to make green bean casserole:
Put 1 can of beans in bottom of casserole dish. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the onion and pimento. Cover with 1/2 of the cheese. Add 1/2 can of soup on top of cheese. Repeat with second can of beans and remaining onion, pimento, cheese and soup. Bake 20 to 30 minutes at 400°. Cover with bread crumbs and crumbled bacon.
