Zesty chicken and rice
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- Parmesan cheese - 1/4 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- can sliced mushrooms - 1 oz
- chopped pimento - 2 Tbsp
- cooked rice - 2 c
- celery salt - 1/2 tsp
- sharp Cheddar cheese - 1/2 c
- chopped cooked chicken - 2 c
- large can Pet milk - 1 item
How to make zesty chicken and rice:
Drain mushrooms (save juice). Saut onions in butter. Add salt, pepper, celery, salt and mushroom liquid. Blend in soup; add milk slowly until thickened.In large bowl, combine cooked rice, mushrooms, chicken and Parmesan cheese. Add soup mixture. Mix all together. Transfer to casserole dish. Top with Cheddar cheese and pimento. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
