Ingredients/Components

  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • water - 1/8 c
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1/2 c
  • raisins - 2/3 c
  • oatmeal - 2 c
  • sesame seed - 1/4 c
  • sunflower seeds - 1/2 c
  • wheat germ
  • bran - 1 c

How to make granola:

Mix first seven ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Mix brown sugar, oil and water together and pour over dry ingredients. Mix to coat evenly.

Spread on cookie sheet. Bake in a 350° oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes or so to brown evenly. Add raisins or other dried fruits when the granola comes out of the oven.

One-third to one-half cup Granola with milk makes a delicious and nutritious breakfast or snack. Can be enjoyed dry also. Store in airtight container.
