- chopped pecans - 3/4 1
- cream cheese, softened - 1 (8
- box yellow cake mix - 1 item
- stick butter or margarine, melted - 1 item
- box 10x sugar save small amount to coat pecans - 1 item
How to make gooey butter cake:
Mix together yellow cake mix, butter or margarine and 1 eggs. Spread in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. (Mixture is very thick. Add small amount of water to help spread.)Mix together cream cheese, 2 eggs and 10x sugar. Spread on top of cake batter. Coat pecans in small amount of saved 10x sugar and sprinkle on top of cake. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Center will not be firm.
Also good with lemon cake mix.
