Gingersnap cookies
Ingredients/Components
- shortening - 3/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
- light molasses - 1/4 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- sifted enriched flour - 2 c
- soda - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1 tsp
- ginger - 1 tsp
How to make gingersnap cookies:
Note: I usually make a double batch, using 3/4 cup shortening and 3/4 cup margarine. This makes them crack better. Cream shortening and sugar; add molasses and egg. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Roll in smallRecipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
