Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 3 item
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- boiling water - 1 c
- molasses - 1 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- flour, sifted - 2 c
- hot water - 1/8 c
- cloves - 1 tsp
How to make gingerbread cake:
Combine eggs, sugar, molasses, oil and spices and beat well. Dissolve baking soda in the hot water and add to mixture. Sift in flour and beat well. Add boiling water and beat lightly and quickly. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 60 mins.
