Gingerbread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- baking soda
- shortening - 1/2 c
- molasses - 1/2 c
- ginger - 1/2 tsp
- hot water - 3/4 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
How to make gingerbread:
Beat all together the sugar, molasses, shortening and eggs until creamy. Add water. Sift all dry ingredients together and add last. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Ovens may vary.In memory of Grandma Susie Barrow.
