German sweet chocolate pie
Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/4 c
- 14 1/2 oz
- sugar
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- unbaked 10-inch pie shell - 1 item
- chopped pecans - 1/2 c
How to make german sweet chocolate pie:
Melt chocolate with butter over low heat; stir until blended. Remove from heat. Gradually blend in milk. Mix cornstarch, salt and sugar; beat in eggs and vanilla. Gradually blend in chocolate mixture. Pour into pie shell. Mix coconut and pecans; sprinkle over filling.Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until top is puffed. Filling will be soft; will set when cooled. Cool 4 hours before serving.
