Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- oil
- soda - 1 tsp
- raisins - 1/2 c
- peeled, chopped apples - 4 c
How to make comfort cake:
Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Then add oil, eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add apples and raisins. Pour batter into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 325° to 350° for 1/2 hour or until cake shrinks from sides of pan. This cake is moist and keeps well for a long time, if nobody finds it.
