German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- lemon juice - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- minced parsley - 1/4 c
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- sliced onion - 1/2 c
- sliced cooked potatoes - 1 qt
- to 6 diced slices bacon - 5 item
How to make german potato salad:
Fry bacon until delicately browned; remove. Drain excess fat, reserving 1/4 cup in skillet. Add flour, sugar, salt and pepper; blend well. Beat egg slightly. Add vinegar, water and lemon juice. Add gradually to mixture in skillet; cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add bacon and remaining ingredients; toss lightly.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
