Ingredients/Components
- can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup - 1 oz
- Minute rice - 2/3 c
- water - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- tiny marshmallows
- ripe banana, diced - 1 item
- lemon juice - 2 tsp
- Cool Whip - 1 c
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
How to make rice salad:
Drain pineapple, saving syrup. In saucepan, combine rice, water, syrup and salt. Mix to moisten. Bring quickly to a boil. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; let cool. Fold in whipped cream. Chill.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Chicken.
