German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- flour - 5 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- celery, diced - 1 item
- green pepper, diced - 1 item
- parsley, minced - 1 item
- bacon - 1/2 lb
- cooked potatoes
How to make german potato salad:
Dice and fry bacon. Remove some of the grease and set aside. Mix sugar and flour in a bowl. Add water and vinegar. Stir well. Add to bacon and heat to thicken (as gravy). Pour hot bacon gravy over sliced potatoes, diced green pepper and diced celery. Mix with large spoon and garnish with parsley. Optional: diced onions.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
