Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 6 Tbsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • cold water - 1/2 c
  • cider vinegar - 3/4 c
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • mustard - 1/2 tsp
  • diced celery - 1/2 c
  • medium diced onion - 1 item
  • medium size potatoes - 8 item
  • slices cut up bacon - 8 item
  • Let cool and add celery, onion and pepper

How to make german potato salad:

Cook potatoes until soft. Let cool and add celery, onion and pepper. Fry bacon until crisp.Dressing:2 eggs, slightly beaten1 tsp. salt6 Tbsp. sugar2 Tbsp. flour3/4 c. cider vinegar1/2 tsp. mustard1/2 c. cold water Pour mixed dressing over fried bacon and stir until boiling and thick. Pour over potatoes and mix. Serve while hot or cold. Garnish with hard-cooked eggs and fresh parsley.
