German potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- cold water - 1/2 c
- cider vinegar - 3/4 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- mustard - 1/2 tsp
- diced celery - 1/2 c
- medium diced onion - 1 item
- medium size potatoes - 8 item
- slices cut up bacon - 8 item
- Let cool and add celery, onion and pepper
How to make german potato salad:
Cook potatoes until soft. Let cool and add celery, onion and pepper. Fry bacon until crisp.Dressing:2 eggs, slightly beaten1 tsp. salt6 Tbsp. sugar2 Tbsp. flour3/4 c. cider vinegar1/2 tsp. mustard1/2 c. cold water Pour mixed dressing over fried bacon and stir until boiling and thick. Pour over potatoes and mix. Serve while hot or cold. Garnish with hard-cooked eggs and fresh parsley.Recipe categories: Salads, Side dish, Potato.
