German chocolate cheesecake

- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 1/4 c

- pecans - 1/2 c
- butter, melted - 3 Tbsp
- cream cheese, softened - 1 (9
- chocolate wafer crumbs about 18 cookies
How to make german chocolate cheesecake:
Mix crumbs and 2 tablespoons sugar with 3 tablespoons melted butter. Press evenly over the bottom of ungreased spring-form pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool. Reduce temperature to 300°.Beat cream cheese in large mixer bowl. Add 1 cup sugar and cocoa gradually, beating until fluffy. Add 2 teaspoons vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour or until firm in center. Cool.
Combine 2 tablespoons butter, cream, brown sugar and 1 egg in saucepan. Cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, pecans and coconut. Cool. Spoon over cooled cheesecake. Serves 12.
