  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • cold black coffee - 4 Tbsp
  • Add eggs, one at a time
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • coconut - 1 c
  • pecans - 1 c

How to make german chocolate cake:

Cream sugar, shortening and margarine together. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with buttermilk. Blend in coffee and vanilla. Bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes.Filling:1 c. cream1 c. sugar3 egg yolks1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1 stick margarine1 c. coconut1 c. pecans Combine cream, sugar, egg yolks and butter in saucepan; cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add coconut, vanilla and pecans. Allow to cool to lukewarm and beat until consistency to spread.
