Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- cold black coffee - 4 Tbsp
- Add eggs, one at a time
- egg yolks - 3 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- coconut - 1 c
- pecans - 1 c
How to make german chocolate cake:
Cream sugar, shortening and margarine together. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat after each addition. Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with buttermilk. Blend in coffee and vanilla. Bake in a 350° oven for 35 minutes.Filling:1 c. cream1 c. sugar3 egg yolks1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1 stick margarine1 c. coconut1 c. pecans Combine cream, sugar, egg yolks and butter in saucepan; cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
