Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla
- pkg - 1 oz
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- sifted powdered sugar
- envelopes Nestle Choco Bake - 4 oz
- plus 1 1/3 c - 2 Tbsp
- Use a 13 x 9-inch cake pan
How to make fudge ribbon cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Use a 13 x 9-inch cake pan. Cream 2 tablespoons butter with cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar and cornstarch. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Set aside. Grease and flour bottom of pan. Place in a mixing bowl 1/2 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, salt, baking powder and 1 cup milk. Blend; beat 1 1/2 minutes at low speed. Add 1/3 cup milk, 2 eggs, Choco Bake and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat 1 1/2 minutes. Spread half of batter in pan. Spoon cheese mixture over batter. Spread to cover. Top with remaining batter. Bake 50 to 60 minutes. Cool. Frost.Chocolate Frosting:1/4 c. milk1/4 c. butter2 envelopes Nestle Choco Bake1 tsp. vanilla2 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar Bring milk and butter to a boil.
