Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • shortening - 1 c
  • can fruit cocktail, drained - 1 oz
  • fruit cocktail juice - 4 Tbsp

How to make fruit cocktail cookies:

Combine shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add fruit cocktail juice. Sift together dry ingredients and add to batter. Mix well. Add fruit cocktail and mix.

Drop from rounded teaspoonful onto cookie sheets. Bake at 375° for about 12 minutes or until light golden brown. (This makes a soft, moist and colorful cookie.)
