Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- nuts - 1/2 c
- cube butter - 1 item
- fruit cocktail and juice - 2 c
- canned milk sweetened condensed - 1/2 c
- coconut if wanted - 1 c
How to make fruit cocktail cake:
Glazed Topping:3/4 c. sugar1/2 c. canned milk (sweetened condensed)1 cube butter1 tsp. vanilla1 c. coconut (if wanted) Cake: Stir first 5 ingredients together lightly. Do not use mixer. Pour into ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.Glazed Topping: Boil first 4 ingredients together 1 minute, then add coconut (if wanted). Pour over cake while both are hot.
