Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • vanilla flavoring - 3 tsp
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • corn oil - 3/4 c
  • pecans, chopped - 1 c
  • well beaten eggs - 2 item
  • fruit juice apricot nectar, pineapple or orange juice - 1/3 c
  • chopped pears or apples - 3 c

How to make fresh pear cake:

Mix ingredients in the usual manner. This recipe makes 2 loaf cakes (9 1/2 x 5 1/4 x 3-inch) or 1 Bundt cake. Pan(s) should be well-greased. Pam spray works best. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325°.
