Fresh apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 3/4 c
- all-purpose flour
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
- sugar granulated - 1 c
- peeled, chopped apples, cut into chunks - 2 c
How to make fresh apple cake:
Mix sugar, flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon; add eggs and oil. Beat with a wooden spoon. Add nuts and apples; batter will be thick and hard to mix after apples are added. Spread batter in greased and floured 10-inch skillet or other cake pan. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes or until cake tests done. A single batch baked in large pan can be cut into bars. Double the recipe and bake in 9 x 11-inch pan or 10-inch Bundt pan. Bake double batch at 350° for one hour. Double batch serves 8 to 10.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Apple.
