Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- confectioners sugar
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- butter or margarine, softened - 3 Tbsp
- ground cinnamon
- ground nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- chopped unpeeled apples - 4 c

How to make apple walnut cake:
Frosting:2 (3 oz. each) pkg. cream cheese, softened3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened1 tsp. vanilla extract1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar In a mixing bowl, beat sugar and eggs. Add oil and vanilla; mix well. Stir in apples and walnuts. Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool on a wire rack.For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Gradually add confectioners sugar until the frosting has reached desired spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake. Yield: 16 to 20 servings.
