French stew
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 1
- large carrots - 2 item
- 2 can tomatoes
- Minute tapioca - 4 Tbsp
- can beef consomme - 1/2 item
- prepared bread crumbs - 1/2 c
- wine or sherry - 1/2 c
- stew meat, trimmed - 3 lb
- creaming onions or 1 large can creaming onions - 3/4 pkg
- 2 can tiny green beans, drained
- 2 can small peas, drained
How to make french stew:
Mix. Put in oven, covered, at 250° and cook for at least 6 to 7 hours. Takes about 25 minutes to prepare ingredients. Trim fat from meat. Do not open while cooking. Serve over wild rice or noodles. Serves 4 to 6 people.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
