French fried shrimp
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- sifted flour - 1 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- ice water - 1 c
- peanut oil - 1 c
- shrimp in shells - 2 lb
How to make french fried shrimp:
Combine ingredients, except shrimp and peanut oil. Butterfly the shrimp and discard shells. Dry shrimp after rinsing and dip in batter. Fry in oil in 12-inch Dutch oven until golden brown. Drain and serve.Recipe categories: Main dish, Shellfish, Shrimp.
