- salt - 2 tsp
- water - 4 qt
- clove garlic - 1 item
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- crushed oregano - 1 tsp
- salt pork - 1/4 lb
- pinto beans - 1 lb
- white onion - 1/4 lb
- dry red chilies - 2 item
How to make cowboy beans:
Pick, clean and wash beans. Chop up ingredients. In 14-inch Dutch oven or one which holds 4-quarts of boiling water add beans and all ingredients and let simmer for 10 hours. Check water constantly and add hot water as necessary.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beans, One Dish meal.
