Freezer cucumbers
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- sliced cucumbers small ones - 2 qt
- medium onion or several small ones, sliced - 1 item
How to make freezer cucumbers:
Cover cucumbers and onions with 2 tablespoons salt and ice cubes and let stand for 2 hours in refrigerator. Drain real good.Syrup: Heat sugar and vinegar together. Do not boil. Pour over pickles and let stand in refrigerator overnight, then pack in containers and freeze. I use plastic containers like Cool Whip and yogurt.
