Fish chowder
Ingredients/Components
- large potatoes - 4 item
- can evaporated milk - 1 item
- small onion - 1 item
- haddock
- slices salt pork - 2 item
How to make fish chowder:
Peel and cube the potatoes. Cook potatoes in a pan with just enough water to cover them. Cook until tender. Brown salt pork pieces in frypan. Add to the potatoes. Fry cut-up onion in fat from salt pork. Add to the potatoes. Put pieces of fish on top of the cooked potatoes. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes longer. Add the can of evaporated milk. Stir and cook until just hot. Salt and pepper, if desired. Serves 6 persons.Recipe categories: Soups & stews, Chowders, Cod.
