- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/4 c
- water - 1/2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- a little sugar - 1 item
- dates, cut into small pieces and stones removed
How to make filled cookies:
Filling:1 pkg. dates, cut into small pieces and stones removed1/2 c. water a little sugar Cream butter and sugar; add salt, sour cream, egg, baking soda, vanilla and flour until of a consistency to handle. Roll to 1/8 inch thick and cut into cookies with cutter. Between 2 cookies, place the filling.Filling: Cut dates; add water and sugar and cook to a paste. Cool and place 1 teaspoon between 2 cookies. Bake in hot oven (425°) for 10 minutes.
