English toffee candy
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 3/4 c
- water - 3 Tbsp
- real butter - 1 c
- milk chocolate bars - 4 item
How to make english toffee candy:
Combine sugar, butter and water in saucepan. Cook to 300° (use candy thermometer), stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla and stir. Pour into buttered 9 x 9-inch pan. Lay chocolate bars on top and spread while hot. Chill thoroughly. Break into pieces. Makes great Christmas gift.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Candy.
