  • coarsely crushed pretzels about one 8 oz
  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • margarine - 3/4 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • small Cool Whip - 1 item
  • large or 2 small strawberry jello - 1 item
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • pkg - 1 oz

How to make jello pretzel salad:

Crust: Cream 3 tablespoons sugar and margarine. Add pretzels and press into 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.

Filling: Mix cream cheese and 1 cup sugar. Add Cool Whip and blend. Spread over crust.

Top: Mix jello with boiling water, adding strawberries as ice cubes. Allow mix to partially set. Pour over filling and let set completely.

The crust and filling can be made a day early to allow it to set up easily, however, it is not required.
